Soy

Researching artist and watching the way they work and talk about their work. Inspiring couple Art21 videos on Trenton Doyle and Janine Antoni. So then I started researching because nothing was coming to make except to continue with what I posted yesterday. After reading this, I don't think I ever want to eat soy again! Not that I cautiously eat it often but man have I been deceived and I thought I was smart. Keep in mind I am not a pro-soy person. I don't eat soy intentionally but it is an ingredient in some foods. Deceit, that is all we have.

Think about your food

So how often do you think you have been deceived? Think, just about everyday. People lie about the weather, your looks, food, and many more each and everyday why? To please someone? To satisfy the other side and leave them in the dark without knowing the truth.....these reasons can much more serious than this and become greed.

Our food industry is wack! Yup I  said it wack! USDA organic? think again. Major corporations see money in the food business and have bought out many of our (once was) organic farmers and producers of organic products. This is by far depressing. We see labels everyday that make us "understand" our food better but yet we dont even know the half of it. The list of products that are not organic that are added to organic produce raised from 77 to 250 within just a little over ten years. WHAT?!?! Why is this even necessary? People on the board are voting on these products that are not organic and made from chemicals to enter into what is certified as your organic meal. Wack I say! check out the article here: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/08/business/organic-food-purists-worry-about-big-companies-influence.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

Ok lets get off the rant....we get the idea. So what am I up to now? Good question. Still working with color and now thinking about how I can tie in the distribution, corporation, waste etc. of food into this fabric/swatch of color that I have been so interested in lately. So do these names ring a bell?

Naked?
General Mills?
Whole Foods?
Coca-Cola?

Lead manufacturers and contributors to some of this organic food dilemma we are having today. These business' care more for the money than the thought of organics for the people. Ill be working in a more contemporary photography way to build a background of ideas that represent this conflict in food industry today by photography and compiled backgrounds of these manufacturers logos. Then I will photographer, much like Albers, color on color with a close up lens and then print those as photographs . You might not be able to understand. I will do my best to get this ball rolling fast so I can get some images up but in the meantime you might have to wait because this will take some determination.
